Jabiru, The Policeman Bird
Oil on Canvas
2002
Unsold
This painting is my fantasy that the majestic Jabiru bird gobbles up the Redcoat and all our problems are solved. This painting is part II of a series. The Jabiru bird was nicknamed the Policeman Bird because he struts slowly and is not
easily rattled. The Jabiru used to have large numbers in the north of Australia but it's numbers have been reduced greatly since the coming of the Redcoat.
