This painting is the first of a Series called Bury the Living. It is unsigned, because prison is such a lonely place. I painted it around the year of 1978 when I painted Judgement By His Peers. It was my fantasy, it was the story of my
life how my then pregnant wife turned to the church when I went to prison and she divorced me and married a man from the church.
